KUALA LUMPUR – The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has temporarily closed its Kota Kinabalu office to facilitate the disinfection and sanitation of the premises, after a staffer tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement today, the fund said the employee is receiving treatment, and contact tracing is under way.
“Members who have made prior appointments are advised to log on to the Janji Temu Online facility to reschedule their visits, or visit other EPF branches in Sabah that continue to operate as usual, or transact online via i-Akaun for selected services.
“EPF is taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of its employees and members of the public.”
All service employees at its Kota Kinabalu office will undergo a swab test, and if found positive, undertake the mandatory 14-day quarantine in accordance with National Security Council guidelines. – Bernama, December 31, 2020
