A PROPOSED single Government Super App, the progress of the Rakan Muda youth initiative and the status of outstanding tax refunds are set to headline today’s Dewan Rakyat proceedings, according to the Order Paper published on Parliament’s official website.
During Question Time, Tan Hong Pin (PH-Bakri) will seek clarification from the Digital Minister on whether the government intends to develop a unified application consolidating all public services, as well as the proposed implementation timeline and overall cost.
Youth policy will also come under scrutiny, with Rushdan Rusmi (PN-Padang Besar) asking the Youth and Sports Minister for an update on Rakan Muda 2025, its impact on young people and measures to strengthen its emphasis on character-building and skills development.
Fiscal accountability is expected to feature prominently when Jimmy Puah Wee Tse (PH-Tebrau) calls on the Finance Minister to disclose the total amount of excess tax refunded to date, the outstanding balance yet to be repaid and the timeframe for completing reimbursements.
In the oral question-and-answer session, Kamal Ashaari (PN-Kuala Krau) will raise concerns with the Agriculture and Food Security Minister over a 25 per cent increase in livestock feed costs attributed to imported raw materials.
He is expected to ask about plans to curb price pressures and to optimise the use of palm kernel feed as a stabilising measure.
Meanwhile, Suhaizan Kaiat (PH-Pulai) will request details from the Digital Minister on how the proposed Artificial Intelligence Governance Bill intends to address copyright and intellectual property concerns involving AI systems trained on protected materials, including text, images, audio and video content.
The sitting will also proceed with debate on the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System Link Bill 2026, followed by the Finance Minister’s tabling of the Capitation Grant Bill 2026 for its second reading. - February 12, 2026
