THE fifth and final autopsy, conducted on Nur Sumayyah Humairah, was completed around 2:00 pm.
Earlier, her five-year-old sister, Nur Saffiyah Humairah, underwent examination at 8:45 am, followed by the family’s grandmother, Tuan Kamaria Tuan Puteh, 56, at 11:00 am.
The autopsies of the suspect and his wife, Nurul Asshiykin Kamaruzaman, 33, were carried out yesterday.
Following the forensic examinations, all five bodies were claimed by their next of kin at 2:50 pm for burial.
The remains were transported in four vehicles at 3:10 pm to Masjid Jemek Cherating for ritual washing and shrouding before interment at the old Cherating Islamic Cemetery.
Pahang Police Chief, Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman, revealed that the two children were believed to have been killed by their biological father after he had murdered his wife and mother around 7:00 am yesterday.
He reportedly then took his own life beside the bodies of his wife and two children in a single room.
The suspect had previously worked as a lorry driver in Klang, Selangor, before returning to Kuantan, where he had been employed as a security guard since the beginning of the month.
Authorities believe financial difficulties were the motive behind the killings, and the suspect was not known to have any history of mental health treatment.
A witness, who is the suspect’s younger sibling, reportedly stated that an argument between the suspect and his sister-in-law preceded the fatal incident. - February 18, 2026
