RAP artist and social media influencer Ariz Ramli, better known as Caprice, has extended an olive branch to former Economic Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli in a public appeal to end their bitter dispute over alleged involvement in a RM2.5 billion corruption controversy.
Caprice presented a bouquet of roses to Rafizi as a symbolic gesture of reconciliation and urged the Pandan Member of Parliament not to draw him further into what he described as a politically fuelled battle surrounding the purported award of a lucrative contract to a company.
“I am extending my hand to Rafizi. If Rafizi is willing, Cap is ready to make peace. I bought you these flowers today; they may last about seven days before wilting.
“So, I hope within these seven days we can make peace and please don’t drag Caprice into this world of political warfare,” Caprice said at a press conference Kuala Lumpur today.
Caprice has also denied ever accusing Rafizi of being implicated in the RM2.5 billion corruption case linked to the contract award, insisting that his social media queries directed at the former minister were merely fair and relevant questions.
“We only asked questions which, to Cap, are relevant,” he said.
Rafizi has previously warned he will file a defamation suit against Caprice if no apology is forthcoming after the true facts are laid out.
Rafizi has denied any involvement in the alleged RM2.5 billion corruption case and described the accusations circulating on social media as defamatory.
Caprice said he has not initiated legal action against any party so far, but at 2.30pm today, through his lawyer, he served a legal demand notice on Rafizi requiring him to retract the posts, cease all defamatory statements and issue a public apology.
Caprice said he has given Rafizi until 5pm tomorrow to comply with the notice. He added that should Rafizi fail to do so, legal action will be taken against him. - February 20, 2026
