MetMalaysia issues special weather forecast in conjunction with Aidilfitri

THE Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a special weather forecast in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration from March 20 to March 22.

MetMalaysia, in a statement today on Facebook, announced that on March 20, thunderstorms and rain are expected to occur in nine states in the evening.

This includes Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In Sabah, it involves the West Coast, interior and Tawau parts, while in Sarawak, it involves the Kapit, Miri and Limbang parts.

In the morning, rain is also expected in several places in Perak and Tawau, Sabah.

Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are also expected to experience rain at night, including the interior and Tawau in Sabah, as well as Kapit, Miri and Limbang, Sarawak.

Meanwhile, on March 21, which is the expected date of Aidilfitri, thunderstorms and rain are expected to occur in the evening in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

For Sarawak, it involves Kuching, Serian, Samarahan and Sri Aman.

In the morning, rain will affect Perak, while in the evening, rain will occur in several places, namely Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Tawau, Sabah.

Meanwhile, on the next day, March 22, thunderstorms and rain are expected in Sabah, involving the West Coast and Sandakan areas, as well as Sarawak in the Kuching, Serian, Samarahan and Sri Aman areas.

MetMalaysia calls on Malaysians to plan their travel during the Aidilfitri festive season to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.
