PRIVATE Muhammad Amirul Raziq Rosafindi, 24, died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Temerloh, Pahang, today.

The victim's father, Rosafindi Tambi Chik, 49, when contacted by Berita Harian, confirmed the matter.

"The deceased breathed his last at 9.45 am. The body will be buried at the Felda Sungai Kelamah Peace Cemetery, Gemas in Negeri Sembilan," he said.

Earlier, the media reported that Muhammad Amirul Raziq was seriously beaten by a suspect with the rank of Corporal, allegedly due to dissatisfaction over the cleaning of the weapons store on March 31.

The Army Public Relations Cell, in a statement, announced that based on initial investigations, a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer (PTTR) used force by slapping and punching seven members of the camp in the face and stomach.

Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, reportedly said initial investigations found that the suspect is believed to have hit, punched and kicked the victim in several parts of the body.

Investigations also found that six other victims aged between 19 and 22 were present during the incident. – April 11, 2026
