ALOR GAJAH – Yayasan Bank Rakyat is channelling schooling aid to about 10,000 school students in 145 locations nationwide with an allocation of RM2 million.

YBR programme department manager Mohd Mukhti Abd Rahman said each of the students, all from B40 families, would be receiving uniforms, shoes, and bags worth RM150.

“This aid will be distributed to the recipients in stages, hopefully to be completed by next February.

“The contributions are to ease the burden of the families of the students in preparing for the new school season,” he told reporters after handing over the assistance for the Masjid Tanah parliamentary constituency here today.

The ceremony was launched by Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin, who is also Masjid Tanah MP. – Bernama, January 3, 2021
