Investigators have detained a fellow foreign student, believed to be in his 20s and enrolled at the same institution, to assist in the investigation as forensic officers continue examining evidence recovered from the scene.

Petaling Jaya Deputy District Police Chief Superintendent M Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police were alerted to the incident at about 11.03am.

"Acting on the information received, police proceeded to the location and found a woman believed to have died.
