Police hunt man suspected of sexual assault and sodomy of two male students

A MASSIVE police manhunt has been launched to locate a local college employee suspected of sodomising and molesting two teenage students, after investigations revealed the individual holds a prior criminal record for sexual offenses against children.

The Shah Alam district police headquarters initiated the probe after receiving formal complaints from two fifteen-year-old male students enrolled at a college located in Glenmarie.

According to Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Sarudin Samah, the two victims detailed separate traumatic incidents involving the same male suspect who is currently at large.

"The investigation found that the first victim alleged he was molested while in the hostel toilet at the college. The second victim alleged that he was sodomised at the suspect's residence in Section 18, Shah Alam.

"The suspect, who is in his 30s, has been identified, and police checks revealed that he has one previous criminal record involving a child sexual offence," Assistant Commissioner Sarudin said in an official statement.

The seriousness of the allegations has prompted police to intensify efforts to locate and arrest the suspect, with investigations continuing.

"Police are currently making every effort to trace and apprehend the local suspect.

"The case is still under investigation, and the police will provide further updates in due course.

"The first case is being investigated under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, while the second investigation is being conducted under Section 377C of the Penal Code," Sarudin added.

The case gained significant public attention after details of the alleged assaults and the subsequent trauma experienced by the victims were widely shared on the social media platform Threads by an account holder using the handle @itsmeee_syauqie, who warned the public that the suspect was still roaming around the Section 18 area of Shah Alam.

In light of the ongoing search, the police have appealed to members of the public who possess any information regarding the suspect or his whereabouts to immediately contact the lead investigators.
