NEGERI Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, at Istana Hinggap today.
Ismail’s car arrived at the grounds of Istana Hinggap at about 10:50 am, and about 10 minutes later, Tuanku Muhriz arrived.
Also present at Istana Hinggap were the Undang Luak Sungei Ujong, Muhammad Faris Johari, and the Undang Luak Rembau, Hassan Ab Hamid, as well as the Negeri Sembilan Police Chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad.
The meeting took place after Deputy Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, urged Ismail to have an audience with Tuanku Muhriz to seek a resolution to the crisis unfolding in the state.
The audience is believed to be related to the latest developments regarding the state's political and administrative crisis, which also involves the status of the former State Executive Council (EXCO) line-up.
Earlier, Tuanku Muhriz revoked the appointments of the Negeri Sembilan Exco members, while Ismail remained in office carrying out his duties as Menteri Besar. – September 29, 2026
