Authorities appeal for further victims to step forward - October 3, 2026

POLICE in Kangar have received a formal report regarding allegations of sexual harassment against a child involving a motivational speaker.

Perlis Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Hamzah Hashim confirmed that the report was lodged at 2:09 AM on 26 September, with investigations now underway under Section 12 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

"If convicted, the offender can be jailed up to five years and may also be liable to caning," Deputy Commissioner Hamzah stated in an official release.

The state police chief urged any other potential victims who may have had contact with the individual to come forward and lodge reports with the authorities.
