KUALA LUMPUR – A 42-year-old man with the “Datuk” title and his friend have been remanded for two days on suspicion of assaulting and threatening a man at a restaurant in Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya, on Tuesday.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the remand application against the Datuk and his 39-year-old friend was made today.
Yesterday, Bernama reported that the suspects, both businessmen, were drunk during the incident, and the case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code.
The duo allegedly assaulted a customer, who had told them that they were speaking too loudly. – Bernama, January 15, 2021
