M’sian assisting in police probe among Singapore’s new Covid-19 cases

SINGAPORE – A 34-year old Malaysian is among the 21 new Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore yesterday.

Labelled Case 61,293, the man arrived from Malaysia to assist in a police investigation, said the Health Ministry in its full report last night.

He holds a short-term visit pass and is asymptomatic.

The 21 fresh infections, all imported, take Singapore’s coronavirus tally to 60,321.

Of the total, 3,478 are classified as imported cases, community (2,332) and foreign workers living in dormitories (54,511).

In all, 60,131 patients have made a full recovery and been discharged from hospitals or community facilities.

There are 39 patients still in hospital, with one in intensive care.

The country has lost 30 lives to the disease.

Presently, there are no Covid-19 clusters in the republic. – Bernama, March 30, 2021
