KUALA LUMPUR – Lembah Jaya assemblyman Haniza Mohamed Talha has been appointed Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB) chairman effective April 2.

SPBN in a statement said Haniza, who is a Selangor Housing and Property Board member, holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Sheffield University, the United Kingdom.

The chairman position was left vacant following the death of Gerik MP Datuk Hasbullah Osman on November 16 last year.

Haniza used to be PKR Women chief before she was sacked, along with several others who aligned with then PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, from the party.

She has since joined Bersatu.

PKR had a disciplinary investigation following the “Sheraton Move” in February last year, which led to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.

When she was sacked, Haniza was also removed as Selangor Housing and Urban Living Committee chairman. – The Vibes, April 5, 2021
