KUANTAN – Istana Pahang has revoked from and stripped fugitive businessman Nicky Liow Soon Hee of the Darjah Kebesaran Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang and Datuk Seri title with immediate effect.
State Secretary Datuk Seri Sallehuddin Ishak, in a statement today, said the same was done to Nicky’s brother Liow Wei Loon’s Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang and datukship.
“The revocation of the awards was made on the order of the Pahang sultan. The nominees are not allowed to use any titles bestowed previously.
“The nominees must return the awards to the state secretary’s office, in line with the Pahang Emblems, Titles or Awards Enactment.”
Sallehuddin said a letter on the award revocation was sent to the nominees on Wednesday.
On April 9, Nicky and his brother were charged in absentia at the Petaling Jaya sessions court in Selangor over their alleged involvement in an organised crime group.
An Interpol Red Notice has been issued to locate and arrest Nicky, the founder of the Winter Dynasty Group. – Bernama, April 26, 2021
