KUALA LUMPUR – Among her many alleged standard operating procedure violations, the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) will not charge celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor and her husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail for crossing state borders.
Nilai district police chief Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman told Berita Harian that the decision was made after studying the evidence obtained in relation to the case.
“The issue of the couple’s interstate travel will not be brought to court after taking into account the study conducted by AGC. The study and decision were made based on the available evidence.”
The couple were investigated following a viral clip of them allegedly violating conditional movement control order SOPs.
Photos and a video clip of the pair shopping at a carpet store in the Nilai 3 business centre had spread like wildfire online.
Fazley on May 4 said the case was being investigated under Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988, Regulation 19 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures in Local Infectious Areas) (Conditional Movement Control) (No.4) Regulations, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. – The Vibes, May 21, 2021
