12 private hospitals join Covid-19 vaccine drive tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR – Twelve private hospitals will start operating as vaccination centres (PPV) beginning tomorrow under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).  

ProtechHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd CEO Dr Anas Alam Faizli said on Twitter today that the hospitals will start administering 2,250 doses each per day, a number expected to increase in the coming weeks.
 
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah told The Vibes that five of the private hospitals are in Negri Sembilan, Sarawak (5) and Selangor (2).

In Negri Sembilan, Nilai Medical Centre, Senawang Specialist Hospital, UCSI Hospital, KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital and Mawar Medical Centre are involved. 

In Sarawak, the private hospitals participating are Columbia Asia Hospital (Miri), KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital, Rejang Medical Centre, Timberland Medical Centre and Borneo Medical Centre. 

The remaining two private hospitals are KPJ  Selangor Specialist Hospital and MSU Medical Centre in Selangor.
