KUALA LUMPUR – The police have issued a total of RM155,000 in compounds to 26 people, including a premises owner, after a raid on an entertainment outlet in Kulai, Johor, for violating the movement control order.
In a raid at 12.15am today, Kulai OCPD Tok Beng Yeow said the police found 22 men and four women at the outlet in Jalan Kenanga 29/9, Bandar Indahpura.
In a statement, he said one of the men admitted he is the business owner but does not have a business operating licence.
The business owner was slapped with a RM25,000 fine while each of the guests were issued a RM5,000 compound.
He said the action was taken under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342), for gathering without valid reason. – The Vibes, June 20, 2021
