KOTA BARU – Only individuals confirmed Covid-19-positive via the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test will be admitted to Covid-19 quarantine and low-risk treatment centres (PKRC) in Kelantan from today.

Kelantan PKRC director Dr Mohd Zurairie Mohd Zubir said the state Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre decided to use only RT-PCR as the confirmatory test after a drop in Covid-19 cases in the state.

“However, localities with a high positivity rate will be exempted from this ruling and can continue using the Antigen Rapid Test Kit,” he said, adding that this has been agreed by the Health Ministry. – Bernama, June 22, 2021
