PETALING JAYA – PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) will be carrying out maintenance of its RFID support system involving selected toll plazas from 1am to 4am tomorrow and Wednesday.

The highway operator said in a statement that this was part of its continuous efforts to improve the comfort, safety and road user experience along its highways.

The improvement works will involve RFID users in the following regions:

• 9 toll plazas from Hutan Kampung to Sg Dua

• Penang Bridge toll

• JITRA Toll Plaza

• BKE Toll Plaza - Kubang Semang & Lunas

• SPDH Toll Plaza - Mambau & Lukut

• Kempas Toll Plaza

• Linkedua Toll Plaza - Perling, Lima Kedai & Tanjung Kupang

“Although the maintenance and improvement works involves increasing the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) capability at Persada PLUS, it may affect the operational efficiency of the RFID system at the toll plazas as a whole.

“However, the Touch ‘n Go card system will continue to function normally and can be used as an alternative”, said chief operations officer Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi in the statement.

PLUS said it advises consumers to plan their journey and ensure their Touch ‘n Go cards have sufficient balance for a smooth and comfortable journey. – The Vibes, August 16, 2021
