THE Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) expects 300,000 outstation voters to return to fulfil their responsibilities for the Johor State Election, which will be held this Saturday.

LLM Chairman, Datuk Seri Ir Hasni Mohammad, in a statement, advised the public to plan their journeys to avoid traffic congestion expected to occur on the main route leading to the state.

“To ensure safe and smooth travel on the highway, works involving lane closures will be postponed on polling day, which is July 11, 2026, except for emergency works.

“LLM also advises users to: Plan their journeys via the TuJu Application; ensure that the vehicle is in good condition; ensure that the Touch ‘n Go, e-wallet and debit card balances are sufficient.

"Observe the speed limit and be careful in the third lane construction area on the North-South Expressway between Simpang Renggam Senai (North); obey instructions during smartlane activation and stop for rest at rest and service areas and side stops provided along the highway," he said.

Users can get current traffic information and any incidents via LLM's official social media, namely the Malaysian Highway Authority's Facebook and TikTok @llmtrafik or contact the LLM Traffic Management Centre at 1-800-88-7752.

In addition, live traffic conditions via CCTV on all highways can be accessed via the LLM's official website at www.llm.gov.my and the LLM Info Trafik WhatsApp Channel. – July 8, 2026
