KOTA KINABALU – Action will be taken against civil servants who fail to implement development projects on time, warned Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor.
He said all state agencies should implement projects already gazetted by the government.
Earlier, Hajiji was briefed on the status of state projects that have secured Putrajaya’s nod.
These projects are still in the pre-implementation stage as 2021 nears its final quarter.
“Don’t give any more excuses. Working from home due to Covid-19 is not an excuse to delay implementation,” said the chief minister when chairing a meeting of the state Development Action Council here today.
It’s already August. How are these projects going to be completed? The federal government has already approved these projects for Sabah, and the funds have already been provided.
“I don’t want incomplete projects under my administration. I will not hesitate to take action against the civil servants responsible for the delays.”
Under the 12th Malaysia Plan, RM1.459 billion, or 32.31% of the RM4.517 billion approved for the state under the first rolling plan, has been spent. – The Vibes, August 19, 2021
