KUALA LUMPUR – Police have recorded a statement from a woman known as “Sittah Annur” linked to the spread of deviant religious teachings under the Perjalanan Mimpi Yang Terakhir (PMYT) movement.

The force said the woman was questioned at her house in Selangor yesterday.

Police also recorded statements from her husband and some of her followers.

A source told Bernama that the woman would contact her followers online during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The woman, believed to be the leader of PMYT, claimed that World War 3 would start in Sabah, and that she would lead her team to find Imam Mahdi to fight the enemy.

There are claims PMYT has 3,000 members, but police said these are followers of the movement’s social media accounts, including Facebook.

Yesterday, Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani was reported as saying police are monitoring PMYT. – Bernama, September 3, 2021
