KUALA LUMPUR – A Lamborghini Gallardo driver’s failure to control his vehicle caused a multi-car collision in Jalan Tun Razak today.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the 42-year-old man is believed to have been travelling at high speed in the 8.40am incident.

The driver was heading from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Bulatan Pahang, and apparently did not anticipate a traffic congestion.

“He failed to control the vehicle and rammed into a Proton Perdana, causing the car to flip before hitting three other vehicles – a Mazda, a Nissan Serena and a Ford Ranger,” said Sarifudin.

He said all the drivers involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.

“Drug and alcohol tests on the driver returned negative,” he said, adding that the case has been classified under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving. – The Vibes, September 8, 2021
