KUALA LUMPUR – The Shah Alam toll plaza and interchange on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) are reopening in stages to all highway users as cleaning efforts continue.
In a statement today, PLUS Malaysia Bhd said it is carrying out cleaning and repair work, removing stranded vehicles, and inspecting highway assets as well as toll equipment damaged in the flood.
“The affected routes have now been opened in stages. However, we advise our customers to remain vigilant and adhere to warning signs as there are still some parts of the road that are still inundated,” said PLUS chief operating officer Datuk Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi.
The Shah Alam toll plaza was closed after massive flooding on Saturday. Yesterday, traffic was diverted to the Subang and Seafield interchanges.

Continuous rainfall has swept through the central states of Malaysia over the past few days, triggering flash floods and landslides that have severely affected areas in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Pahang.
