KOTA KINABALU – Putting Sabah under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) is just an idea for now, said state Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“I’m not saying it will be implemented. It is one of the ideas we are looking at. With the high number of infections in Sabah, you tend to consider other strong options and EMCO is the stronger option."

However, Masidi said the reduction in daily Covid-19 cases in the last few days shows that the Health Ministry’s strategy is working.

“It should be given reasonable time for the ministry’s strategy to continue working.

“If we want the number of Covid-19 cases to continue to drop, everybody will need to cooperate. A lot of self-discipline is important and we need to comply with all the government’s standard operating procedures.” – The Vibes, November 9, 2020
