KUALA LUMPUR – The retail price of RON97 petrol has been reduced to RM3.83 per litre, down 17 sen from its record high of RM4 per litre last week.
The retail prices of RON95 and diesel remain unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, respectively.
These prices were determined by the Finance Ministry’s automatic pricing mechanism formula and will be in effect from March 24 to March 30.
In a statement, the ministry said that the current ceiling price for RON95 and diesel will remain, even though the commodity’s market price has increased.
It said the government would continue to monitor the effects of changes in world crude oil prices and take the relevant measures to ensure the people’s welfare and well-being remain protected. – The Vibes, March 23, 2022
