Datuk, wife to be charged tomorrow in RM140 mil false claims, CBT case

PUTRAJAYA – A former CEO with the Datuk title, along with his wife, will be charged at the Shah Alam Sessions Court tomorrow in relation to making false claims and committing criminal breach of trust involving about RM140 million over a period of five years since 2013.

According to a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission source, the couple, aged 63, were detained about 9.40am today at the MACC headquarters here, where they showed up to give their statements.

The man will face a number of charges for making false claims involving RM8 million and CBT involving RM132 million from 2013 till 2017.

His wife, who is a director of a private company, is expected to be charged with abetting him. – Bernama, November 23, 2020
