MACC seeks duo in travel stamps forgery case

PUTRAJAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is looking for two individuals to assist in its investigation into syndicates abusing check-in and exit stamps at the country's borders.

The graft busters said in a statement today that the first individual being sought is a man, Chiong Ah Kaw @ Cheong Leong Kim, 75, whose last known address was at No. 22, Pangsapuri Seri Mesra, Jalan Bahagia 29, Taman Seri Bahagia, 56000 Kuala Lumpur.

The other individual, a woman, is Li Quin, who is a Chinese national in her 30s and holder of passport no. E32395179, as well as a social visit pass.

Anyone with information on the duo are urged to contact investigating officer Amirul Ikhwan Selamat at 016-509 8947.

Earlier, it was reported that 65 individuals comprising 39 Immigration Department personnel, 17 agents and nine civilians, were detained in Op Selat in connection with the travel stamps forgery case. – Bernama, December 1, 2020
