KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia is among the top Southeast Asian countries in the field of clinical research, said Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
She said this is a pride-worthy achievement and proof that the ethnic diversity here has provided additional value to the observation and development of research in the medical field.
“With the number of experienced researchers in the country, the smooth start-up of research programmes and diversity of study sites have positioned Malaysia as a prime location for international clinical research.
“Current data now shows significant progress in sponsored technical research, including good work results by researchers at study locations under the Health Ministry,” she said.
She said this at the inauguration ceremony of the charter between Syneos Health and Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) at the ministry, today.
Also present were Syneos Health’s general manager of the Asia-Pacific region, Dr Ken Lee and CRM’s chief executive officer, Dr Akhmal Yusof. – The Vibes, December 23, 2022
