PUTRAJAYA – Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa recently visited the Segamat teen whose family members, including parents, perished in an accident recently.

Dr Zaliha's visit to Abdurrahman Amir Ruddin, 19, on Monday came four days after the fatal crash at KM6, Jalan Segamat-Kuantan.

“Abdurrahman was still in shock over the accident. We pray that he remains strong in facing this huge test…we also pray for the deceased,” Dr Zaliha posted on her social media, together with pictures of her visit.

Most of Abdurrahman’s family – father Amir Ruddin Ismail, 46; mother Noorahimah Noor Muhamad, 43; and Abdurrahman’s siblings, Fatimatulzahrah, 17; Seri Khadijah Aqilah, 13; Rufaidatul Asyariyah, 10; and Muhammad Assyakrawi, 5, were killed in the accident.

His brother Abdullah, 15, the crash’s sole survivor, is still receiving treatment at the Segamat Hospital.

It is believed that the family was on their way to send off Abdurrahman’s mother, who teaches at the Sekolah Agama Kemedak, near Segamat.

Dr Zaliha, who is also Sekijang MP, also extended her condolences to Abdurrahman and urged him to stay strong in facing the trials. – The Vibes, September 6, 2023
