KUALA LUMPUR – The authorities have yet to identify the source of pollution that occurred in Sg Selangor today, a Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd spokesman told The Vibes.
He said all water treatment plants, including Rantau Panjang, SSP1, SSP2 and SSP3, have resumed operations after detecting 0 TON (threshold odour number) in the water three consecutive times.
He added that water supply disruption occurred in some places, but with minimal effect on consumers.
Air Selangor is expected to release a statement on the matter later.
The Rantau Panjang water treatment plant resumed operations at 3.30am today after Air Selangor detected pollution at Sg Selangor.
At 11.30pm last night, the Rantau Panjang was shut down.
The other three water treatment plants were shut at 1am as well. – The Vibes, December 8, 2020
