MELAKA – A cultural park showcasing the culture and arts of all races in Melaka will be created, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.

He said the park, whose location is yet to be determined, will play a role as another tourism product under Visit Melaka Year 2024.

“It is not the same as Taman Mini Malaysia and its location is not like Jonker Street. This cultural park will showcase the plurality, diversity of culture and arts and customs.

“The park would be also a reference for the happiness index for the people in Melaka from the point of economy and unity,” he told reporters after opening the Chinese Cultural Carnival 2023 today.

Rauf said the cultural park will be seen as a benchmark of excellence in promoting the nation under the unity government.

On the event, Rauf said the carnival opened up opportunities for people from all walks of life in Melaka to learn more about the culture, heritage and art of other races. – Bernama, June 17, 2023
