KUALA LUMPUR – Traffic on several major highways was reported to be congested last night as people headed to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha.

A PLUS Trafik spokesman said traffic on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) was congested from Pedas Linggi heading towards Simpang Ampat.

“Traffic was also reported to be congested from the northern direction, heading from Skudai to Kulai,” he said when contacted last night.

Apart from that, southbound traffic was slow moving from Bandar Ainsdale heading towards Hentian Sebelah Senawang.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said traffic flow on the KL-Karak Highway heading towards the east coast was also slow-moving.

“Slow-moving traffic was also reported before the Gombak toll plaza, heading towards Genting Sempah and Bentong,” he said. – Bernama, June 29, 2023
