PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be meeting electric car giant Tesla’s chief executive officer Elon Musk tomorrow.
“Tomorrow,” the prime minister said briefly when asked when they would be meeting.
He was speaking to reporters after a dialogue session with enforcement agencies at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre here today.
Anwar had earlier said that Musk had asked to meet him to discuss the possibility of increasing his investments in Malaysia.
Anwar said the country needs more new investments to increase its income and reduce its debt, which now amounts to RM1.5 trillion.
“There is a pressing need to increase both domestic and foreign direct investments as these can help create more jobs,” he said. – The Vibes, July 13, 2023
