KUALA LUMPUR – Several vehicles were damaged after part of the roof structure of a five-storey building in Jalan Kuchai Lama, here, collapsed last night.
A spokesman for the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said that the incident, which occurred at about 10.30pm did not involve any casualties.
Meanwhile, Brickfields police chief Amihizam Abdul Shukor said checks had been carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department on every floor of the building and confirmed that no victims were involved.
“Currently, the premises are been closed as a safety measure and the Fire and Rescue Department is investigating the cause of the collapse,” he said.
