DR Muruga Raj Rajathurai, the president of Malaysian Medical Association visited Healthcare Today with Manvir Victor and shared some of his goals for his term.

Dr Muruga talks about the bullying of doctors by a system that badly needs updating, the threat of strikes and its effects on patients.

He also discusses medical cannabis and how it may help alleviate pain for some patients.

He recently met with King Charles III as the president of the Commonwealth Medical Association and explains what this means to members of the Commonwealth like Malaysia. 

As an experienced GP and former doctor trained by the public health system, he is well-placed to share his opinions on the current system and how it can be improved.
