Unifi aim to unite fans with ‘live’ coverage

KUALA LUMPUR - Unifi today announced that it will continue to unite football fans and all Malaysians by enabling viewing of the Charity Cup and the Super League 2021 matches via unifi TV, unifi PlayTV app, and unifi YouTube channel. 

With this, Malaysians from around the nation will be able to rejoice upon the return of the local football competition and cheer for their favourite clubs. The traditional season-opening Charity Shield match will take place this Friday, where Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) will face Kedah Darul Aman FC at Stadium Sultan Ibrahim. 

Unifi is taking the lead in enabling a converged experience to meet the digital lifestyle of football fanatics. With this collaboration with Malaysian Football League (MFL), unifi is now the one and only to offer the best "live" football moments in full HD on your TV screens at home. 

If they are on the move, football fans can also tune in via unifi PlayTV app or unifi YouTube channel so they can watch the matches on their mobile devices anytime, anywhere. 

Commenting on the collaboration, Anand Vijayan, Chief Commercial Officer, TM said: “Football is the No. 1 sport not only here in Malaysia, but also globally. At unifi, we share a similar passion and have been a long-time partner of local football. We are excited to continue our collaboration with MFL towards the development of local football and to bring the national football league to more Malaysians. 

In these current times, we hope bringing these matches into homes and direct to you will keep our spirits high and unite us,” he added. 

This year, a total of 12 teams will compete to vie for the Super League 2021 title. The first round begins with the Charity Cup match, with the remainder of the matches being played that weekend. The final round of matches are scheduled to be played on August 8, 2021, when the Super League champion will be crowned.
