KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) have confirmed that two staff of their professional cleaning service suffered a fatal incident this afternoon. 

In a statement, JDT said the two cleaning services staff were contracted by the club to maintain their facilities. 

“The entire JDT family expresses our deepest condolences to the families of the two staff. 

“JDT are awaiting a full report of the incident from the authorities and the company we have contracted to maintain the stadium,” they said. 

According to a source familiar with the matter, the cleaning staff slipped and fell to their deaths while cleaning either the roof or panel of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. 

It is believed that the stadium has been closed off to the public for the remainder of the day due to the incident. – The Vibes, June 13, 2022.
