KUALA LUMPUR – Badminton fans are frustrated with the ticketing system and disgusted by the poorly maintained toilets at Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, which is hosting the Petronas Malaysian Open.

Although tickets for the final three days of the tournament – quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals – are sold out, fans can still buy them online or at the arena for the first and second round matches.

Among the fans standing in the queue was one Guna, who told The Vibes that the ticketing system was problematic and difficult to use.

“They tell us to get tickets online, but the site keeps crashing. When we try to buy tickets at the counter, they charge us an extra RM5.

“On top of that, we have to wait so long as the system is slow. If we purchase online tickets and wish to convert them to physical copies, it is an extra RM10. This is not right.”

Other fans also complained that the restrooms in the arena were unpleasant during the opening day yesterday, some saying that they smelled terrible and the urinals were leaking.

The Vibes also found that the issues persist even though it is now the second day of the tournament.

The fans have not been the only ones with complaints.
