KOTA BARU – Kelantan FC players have been given the ultimatum to win their remaining two matches in order to clinch the Premier League title, said Kelantan FC head coach Rezal Zambery.
Winning the Premier League title will also ensure Kelantan FC gain promotion to the Super League competition next year.
Kelantan FC are leading the league table with 36 points after 16 matches, three more than second-placed Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) who have played one match less.
“JDT II have played a match less and have 33 points, just three points behind us. Therefore, we cannot afford to draw or lose any matches,” he told Bernama when contacted today.
“However, the race to the title is still open and I hope the team will be free from injuries and suspension,” he said.
Kelantan FC face Selangor FC II on September 4 and Kelantan United on September 17.
“We have about two weeks before facing Selangor and that gives us ample time to prepare,” he said. – Bernama, August 23, 2022
