KUALA LUMPUR – A participant in the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2022 died earlier today. 

According to a statement earlier today on Twitter, KLSCM confirmed that a participant named Abdul Rahman Kifli, 47, was found unconscious along Jalan Dang Wangi at 6.01am during the race.

The organisers added that Rahman was administered CPR at the scene before being immediately taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital after he failed to respond to the resuscitation.

It is understood that Rahman remained unconscious and was on life support in hospital since then before passing away today. 

“On behalf of everyone associated with KLSCM, we would like to convey our sincere condolences to his family and friends. 

“The family has requested privacy and no further details will be released in respect of their wishes,” KLSCM’s statement added.  – The Vibes, November 16, 2022
