PUTRAJAYA – The Cambodia SEA Games Organising Committee (Camsoc) will provide free broadcasting rights to local and international media networks to cover the 2023 SEA Games and 12th Asean Para Games.
Hor Sarun, the Tourism Ministry secretary and special envoy of the National Committee of Camsoc, said this today, adding that access to all sporting events will also be free of charge.
“We are proud to announce that we are ready and welcome everyone to come to the 32nd SEA Games and 12th Asean Para Games. It has been 64 years since the SEA Games were organised and finally, we are the hosts.
“I would also like to announce that no tickets are for sale and admission to every sports venue is free.
“We have enough facilities to accommodate everyone, from hotels to transportation services.
“Our sports village can accommodate almost 10,000 athletes, located near Morodok Techo National Stadium,” he said after the Cambodia 2023 Torch Relay here today.
The torch relay started near the grounds of the Youth and Sports Ministry Tower, involving 250 people led by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, Olympic Council of Malaysian deputy president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, and Paralympic Council Malaysia president Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian SEA Games contingent was represented by chef de mission Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali and deputy chefs de mission Datuk Shalin Zulkifli and Sharon Wee.
Malaysia is the fifth country in the torch relay after Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste. – The Vibes, April 11, 2023
