BEIJING – US Secretary of State an has arrived in Beijing for talks with senior Chinese officials, a visit aimed at rebuilding the cratering relationship between the governments, reported German news agency dpa.
A series of meetings with high-ranking government representatives are planned before Blinken leaves tomorrow.
Blinken is making up for a long-planned trip that he cancelled at short notice in February when a diplomatic crisis erupted with the discovery of what Washington said was a Chinese surveillance balloon over US territory.
