IN the heart of Malaysia’s popular hill destination, Cameron Highlands, property developer LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) is making a lasting impact through a blend of modern infrastructure and deeply rooted community values.
Known for its commitment to responsible development, LBS has gone beyond bricks and mortar by incorporating spiritual, social, and sustainable elements into its projects—an approach that reflects its broader vision of community building.
One such initiative is the construction of Surau Al-Amin at the Cameron Highlands District Police Headquarters (IPD), officially opened on March 13 by the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The surau, while serving as a place of worship, is also envisioned as a hub for spiritual enrichment and community harmony, catering to the needs of police personnel and visiting tourists alike.
“This project is part of LBS’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment and was funded through the ASEAN Social SRI Sukuk Wakalah, a Shariah-compliant financial instrument designed to support socially impactful and sustainable initiatives,” said LBS Executive Director, Dato’ Seri Daniel Lim Hock Sing, in a statement.
“The construction of Surau Al-Amin is an investment that delivers lasting value to the community. It’s not just about providing a prayer space—it’s about fostering a community rooted in noble values and harmony,” he added.
Dato’ Seri Daniel also expressed gratitude for the royal support received, noting that the Sultan of Pahang’s presence at the launch highlighted the monarchy’s endorsement of social initiatives that deliver long-term benefits to society. - April 24, 2025
