KUALA LUMPUR – The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) has appointed Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abdul Rahman as its new chief executive, effective tomorrow.

LTAT chairman Tan Sri Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin in a statement today said Nazim has broad experience in corporate and financial sectors in major monetary centres around the world.

“In his role, Nazim will lead transformation initiatives and steer LTAT towards a sustainable and competitive retirement fund for its stakeholders.

“We welcome him on board and look forward to his leadership… and we are confident that his broad experience will bring fresh perspectives to LTAT and ensure a successful execution of its transformation.”

Nazim took over the helm from Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin, who stepped down on April 30 to serve as the new Lembaga Tabung Haji group managing director and CEO.

He has 20 years of professional experience in the areas of corporate management, corporate finance, and investment, where, prior to joining LTAT, he was based in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates as Allied Investment Partners (AIP) Southeast Asia managing director.

AIP is an investment and advisory firm.

Nazim writes a monthly column for The Edge Malaysia, where he expresses his thoughts and observations on a spectrum of topics covering economics and its relation to society. – Bernama, June 14, 2021
