JOHOR BARU – JLand Group Sdn Bhd (JLG), Johor Corporation’s (JCorp) real estate and infrastructure arm, expressed its commitment to upholding integrity within its operations.
In a statement today, JLG said it recently signed the corruption-free pledge to demonstrate its dedication to combating corruption and promoting ethical conduct.
The pledge was signed by JCorp’s real estate and infrastructure division director and JLG deputy chairman Datuk Akmal Ahmad and JLG managing director Muaazam Mahmud.
Akmal said that the signing of the pledge represents a significant milestone in JLG’s efforts to promote good governance.
To further promote the culture of integrity and enhance understanding among directors and top executives, JLG organised an Integrity Talk event titled Fostering the Culture of Integrity: Managing Its Risks and Corporate Liability at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre.
The event aimed to explore the roles and responsibilities of leaders and the implications of corporate liability provisions.
The session also included insights and case studies on best practices in integrity risk management.
Additionally, JLG has enhanced procurement processes through increased due diligence and engagement with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
Akmal said the pledge marked “another significant milestone in JLG’s efforts to drive better governance and uphold integrity”.
“With the signing of the pledge, we also reinforced our dedication to transparency, accountability, and responsible business conduct within our organisation.
