THE school holidays are underway, so what better way to pass the time than with a variety of fun-filled shows on Disney+ Hotstar. Make your week-long break worthwhile with new Disney+ Original series as well as family favourites.

Dug Days - Season One (pictured above)

For all dog lovers, Pixar Animation Studios’ 'Dug Days,' features five shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney’s and Pixar’s feature film 'Up' whose high-tech collar translates his thoughts into speech. Witness Dug’s first time out of Paradise Falls as he and his friend Carl spend time in suburbia while enjoying the many things that freedom can offer including Dug’s biggest distraction of all, a squirrel.

Onward

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Onward introduces two teenage elven brothers, Ian and Barley, who embark on an extraordinary and epic quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there, with one goal in mind – resurrecting their late father for a day. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. Perilous curses aside, this one magical day could mean more than any of them ever dreamed.

Finding Dory

The heart-warming sequel to 'Finding Nemo' follows the story of everyone’s favourite character Dory, a blue tang fish with short term memory loss. With vague memories of her past, Dory together with her good friends, Marlin and Nemo heads off on an epic quest to find her long-lost parents. Their fearless journey leads them to a Marine Life Institute as they learn a great deal on the meaning of friendship and family.

Doogie Kamealoha M.D. – Season 1

Set in Hawaii, this coming-of-age dramedy inspired by the hit medical series 'Doogie Howser, M.D.' follows Lahela 'Doogie' Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical 'ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path.

Sofia The First 

Sofia, a young, regular girl has her life completely transformed after her mother marries the king of their land, making her a princess. Follow her adventures in each episode as she is given a magic amulet granting her the ability to talk to animals, settles into her new family, overcomes challenges and learns all about what it means to be a princess.

Mira, The Royal Detective – Season 2

Set in the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, the series follows the brave and resourceful Mira, a commoner who sets out on mystery-solving adventures with her loyal companions, Prince Neel, creative cousin Priya, and comical mongoose sidekicks Mikku and Chikku after her appointment to the role of royal detective. Each episode never fails to weave in authentic music and dance from India's vibrant heritage.
