EVERY documentary photographer will look for a subject or topic that can impact others. Over the years, I would go walking around the city, observing and developing ideas to produce street photographs that had a bit of a twist from the norm.
This long-term project is still in the construction period. It is not known when it will end.
A reflection on daily life, it is a series of multiple exposure photoplays that captured our everyday life, scenes and environment. It shows how our life has been divided from reality, fantasy and living statuses. The surrealism concept will lead you to think differently.
During the production of the photos with 'multiple exposures', I was concerned about the contrast of the main subject with other subjects to make a picture that has an element of surrealism.
Each element or subject in the picture will give a narrative of how our daily lives are isolated and divided into various elements. The choice of colour contrast represents elements of multi-racial and living status.
Without us realising it, each of these elements will be closely linked to our lives. For me, this is the reality and I try to convey it in a visual form that is different from the norm. – The Vibes, February 20, 2022
