BTS Army Malaysia was in a state of excitement when a less than five second long TikTok video from Tan Sri Tony Fernandes went viral on social media.
In the video, Tony, the founder of AirAsia, in addition to other business ventures, answered the question of netizens on whether South Korean pop powerhouse BTS would be coming to Malaysia.
Tony replied, "I'm pretty sure BTS will be coming to Malaysia soon."

The video was then flooded with more than a thousand comments and received a number of reactions.
“Sir, if so, can you tell me the date in advance? I want to raise money,” said a user.
"Hopefully it will come true," said another comment.
“Finally! I have been waiting since 2013,” wrote a user named @thv.
Way back in 2019, the then Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq expressed his intention to bring BTS to Malaysia in conjunction with a Tourism Malaysia venture.
In the negotiation phase, Tony Fernandes as the Chairman of Stadium Malaysia Corporation was responsible for negotiating the group's entry into Malaysia.
However, there were no further updates after that.
Further back in 2018, Tony once gave the same news in a post on his official Instagram, which led to another dead end.
For the record, the group once visited Sabah in 2015 for a filming session. – The Vibes, April 25, 2022
